Nordic Bulkers certified according to the Environmental Management System
- ISO 14001
In keeping
with our efforts to serve our customers with the highest level of quality
as well as to act with the greatest environmental concern, we have now
supplemented our Quality Systems ISO 9002 (obtained in 1993) and SQAS
(obtained in 1998) with the Environmental System ISO 14001.
The
extensive work leading to our new certificate has engaged all areas of
our organization and is virtually exclusively an in-house endeavor, accomplished
by our own Environmental Department. The knowledge and experience behind
our certificate give us a solid base, which enables the further development
of environmentally friendly bulk commodity transport, handling and storage
solutions.
Fortunately,
environmentally conscious logistics systems are in most cases also economical
and efficient and we are convinced such systems will be more and more
appreciated by our customers and partners as a complement to and an integrated
part of their own environmental programs.
We are
delighted that we now have additional resources to support our continuous
efforts to create and operate the most competitive and environmentally
friendly bulk transport, storage and handling systems.
